I love those unexpected moments in life that come out of the blue but the memory will last a lifetime! We had one of those last night. We had thought about going to the fireworks but everybody was so tired that we decided not to go. Brexley was already asleep when they started, but we went out in our backyard to see if we could see them. Sure enough you could see them perfectly between two trees. Michael went in and woke Brexley up and she got to see the finale. She loved them and was so happy her Daddy had come to get her even if it was only for a few minutes. We stood there as a family in the privacy of our backyard with our big, crazy dog barking and watched the fireworks together. IT WAS PERFECT! Then our ever thoughtful little girl says to us, "It's too bad that Gammy had to miss the green firework. She would have loved it!" To see her smile while sitting on her Daddy's shoulders was priceless and it is one of those moments i'll treasure forever!
It has been a busy but good week. My Dad came in town so we got to spend the week with him and then we spent the 4th with Michael's family and ate barbeque and apple pie. Yummy! We also watched the Macy's fireworks on TV which were awesome! My Dad is doing really well after his knee surgery and he and Brexley got to play a lot. I know I have said it before but she is so blessed with so many grandparents in her life. On Friday night we went and had Coke floats at the Beidenharn gardens. It was so much fun even if it was HOT! Our friends Nicole and Brian joined us with their two precious girls Ava and Evie and we had a blast! Here are some pics from the week:
