A Really Awesome Day!!!
This has been one of the best days! Brexley and Michael were in the back yard when he came in to tell me that she had started to swing all by herself. Of course I had to go outside to take a peek and she couldn't wait to do it again. It was one of those firsts that you want to remember and she was so proud of herself! We were really excited for her because she's been able to maintain the swing once she's been pushed but hasn't been able to just get on the swing and start herself. Way to go Brex! With all of this swinging excitement we decided to go to the park. She brought Bally (her purple ball) and she, Gammy and I had a great time playing soccer and ball tag. Michael took care of T while we got to have some serious play time! While Michael, Brexley and Gammy were swinging one of us (not sure which one) came up with the idea to throw the ball at the person swinging and as they come through they kick the ball. Sounds silly but it was VERY fun and you would be amazed at how far and high the ball can fly! The afternoon continued to be great but the highlight was tonight. We played an adapted version of Haunted Mansion Clue and then headed upstairs to read. Brexley decided that each of us should read a book including herself!!! LOVE it!!! The reading lessons are paying off and I haven't squelched her passion for reading. Woohoo! Michael read the Haunted Mansion, Brexley read Plumply Dumply Pumpkin (again so PROUD!) and I read Room on a Broom. (Are you sensing a theme to our evening?) She was so fun during Room on a Broom because she acted it out! Oh, did I mention we all had to dress up in witches hats and grab our brooms for the occasion? Michael opted for a blanket over his head to look like a cape. FUN TIMES! Of course T-Rex woke up to feed during the events so he got to semi participate. I have to say there is definetley something different about nursing your baby while wearing a witches hat. At least he is learning how silly our family likes to be from a young age! We then said our prayers and turned out the lights. With all the excitement B got up several times for one reason or another but now all is quite and I'm hoping to get a good nights sleep! Happy, Happy Day!!!!
